Some big names that report to lead the charge include MSFT, META, TSLA, ASML, NOW, IBM, LRCX, GLW, AAPL, and KLAC. The questions from analysts on the conference calls should be interesting — but it seems likely that companies won’t have too many answers, as the implications from DeepSeek could take months to figure out. So as we often say, if you want answers, follow price! Some of the stocks that got hammered on Monday recovered nicely on Tuesday, especially in the semiconductor, computer hardware, and software industries. NVDA carried the semis, jumping 9% and recapturing its 200-day average. The stock fell below its 200-day average on Monday for the first time since the bear market in 2022. AAPL led computer hardware, popping 3.7%, while MSFT, ORCL, CRM, PLTR, SHOP, and CRWD all jumped 3%-9%. Consumer Staples, Utilities, Real Estate, and Energy all fell at least 1%.
