China-based battery electric vehicle (BEV) manufacturer Li Auto has reported a year-over-year increase of 26.5% in vehicle deliveries for March 2025, with a total of 36,674 vehicles.

This boost has contributed to the company’s first-quarter deliveries, which totalled 92,864 vehicles, marking a 15.5% rise from the same period a year ago.

By the end of March 2025, Li Auto’s cumulative deliveries had reached 1,226,736.

The company anticipates that its MindVLA, a “next-generation” proprietary autonomous driving architecture to further advance the adoption of autonomous driving technologies.

In a press statement, Li Auto said: “As a key contributor to the company’s rapid path to profitability and its breakthrough in surpassing the RMB100bn revenue mark, the Li L series is on track to soon achieve a new milestone with the delivery of its 1,000,000th vehicle.”

In February 2025, Li Auto formed a partnership with Ianlon Technology, an automotive components supplier, to establish a research and development (R&D) centre in Changzhou.

This initiative aims to advance the development of innovative materials for electric vehicles (EVs).

The “Joint Innovation Lab” will concentrate on creating ultra-high-strength steel, lightweight alloys, and advanced composite materials for automotive applications.

Li Auto also noted that the collaboration would extend to new mold designs and component manufacturing processes.

Earlier in January 2025, Li Auto inaugurated its first overseas R&D centre in Munich, Germany, signalling the company’s intensified efforts to expand its international sales.

As of 31 March 2025, Li Auto boasted a retail presence with 500 stores across 150 cities, alongside 502 servicing centres and Li Auto-authorized body and paint shops in 225 cities.

Additionally, the company operates 2,045 super charging stations equipped with 11,038 charging stalls throughout China.
