Growth accelerator Elevation Point has made a strategic investment in Fortage Capital Advisors, a newly launched wealth management firm headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
Fortage Capital Advisors focuses on delivering investment management and financial advice tailored to individual client needs.
The firm was founded by Andrew Moss, who has more than three decades of industry experience.
Moss was previously a partner at Transcend Capital Advisors for five years.
His career began at Merrill Lynch in 1994, where he worked for over 25 years before moving to Transcend in 2020 alongside colleagues Matthew Harbarcuk and Carrie Angott.
Both Harbarcuk and Angott have joined Fortage as director and client service associate, respectively.
Moss said: “This is a significant step in our evolution, giving us more time to focus on delivering customised solutions for our clients.
“We were drawn to Elevation Point’s partnership model for its innovative tools, talent, and infrastructure, which will help us optimise our service offering and amplify business growth. This partnership reflects our commitment to providing outstanding service and advice to our clients.”
Elevation Point said the investment aligns with its minority stake partnership approach, which supports independent financial firms such as Fortage by providing strategic resources to facilitate growth while preserving operational autonomy.
Elevation Point founding partner and CEO Jim Dickson said: “As wirehouse veterans, Andrew and I understand how the journey from the wirehouse model to independence offers greater flexibility and client focus—which is at the core of our mission at Elevation Point.
“Embodying the same mindset, the team at Fortage is committed to meeting the evolving needs of their clients, while staying focused on growth and aiming to deliver the best possible outcomes. We look forward to achieving many growth milestones together.”
“Elevation Point makes strategic investment Fortage Capital Advisors” was originally created and published by Private Banker International, a GlobalData owned brand.
